A simple solution to opening up safely for entrances and exits is staggering arrival and departure times. This ensures people do not use the entrances and exits at the same time.
To ensure this is adhered to, floor stickers stating ‘entry’ and ‘no entry’ provides clear instructions for customers and staff alike to where to head when entering and exiting the premises.
Providing handwash stations so customers and staff can wash their hands when entering and leaving the building provides further peace of mind for everyone present.
Social Distancing
Social distancing is a phrase we’re all familiar with now, and to help stop the spread of the virus, these measures are still in place for all businesses across the UK. Recently, the Government have changed their advice from 2m apart to 1m plus providing they take other measures – including wearing face masks on public transport, hand washing more frequently and separator screens – into consideration.
To help both workers and customers to social distance, you can:
- use floor stickers or tape to mark safety areas
hang social distancing guidelines posters or stickers on the wall at eye level- install screens to create physical barriers
- limit the number of people in the building
