We are proud to announce that the Marvel team were appointed to manage the design and installation of various wall graphics throughout the brand-new Gruffalo & Friends Clubhouse, a one-of-a-kind magical indoor play adventure has now opened its doors in Blackpool.
We were delighted to be asked to deliver a creative artwork service which covered over 700 metres of printed wall graphics and external signage within the attraction. The creative team at Marvel spent over 375 hours creating the artwork that covered over 1250 square metres of wall graphics to help turn the space into a magical children’s wonderland.
The team worked hand in hand with a dedicated team of signage fitters to the project which took around 80 days to print and install ahead of the celebrity unveiling on 21st May 2023.
Our director Wayne Taylor managed this project from start to finish, along with the help of our in-house designer Dan. From the initial planning meetings, to overseeing the installation of the wall graphics and front exterior.
The attraction is located next to SEA LIFE on the Blackpool Promenade and has been meticulously designed to bring to life six different zones dedicated to each story: The Gruffalo’s Deep Dark Wood Adventure Play and Soft Play, Room on the Broom Toddler Play, The Gruffalo’s Child Sensory Room, Zog’s Dragon School Challenge and The Snail and the Whale Seaside Play, as well as a Gruffalo Meet and Greet Experience from the popular films produced by Magic Light Pictures.
We have delivered a number of signage projects for Merlin Entertainments in the past including the Splash Landings Hotel at Alton Towers, Sea Life Manchester and Legoland Manchester, but this certainly is one of our biggest signage projects to date and it has been super exciting for the Marvel team to work on. The world first attraction within the golden mile of Blackpool is a real accolade for us and we are proud to have delivered the project in such a timely and professional manner.
