It’s been a busy few weeks for the team at Marvel at Everything as were asked by Network Rail and Northern to manage the signage requirements for the next stage of The Great North Rail Project.
Unfortunately, from 11th November 2017 – 25th March 2018, you will experience delays and rail replacement services when travelling between Preston and Blackpool stations. However, it’s for good reason, as the 17-mile route between Preston and Blackpool North will be fully electrified to allow for faster trains and more seats; the improvements will also reduce the need for signalling equipment meaning future journeys will be more efficient and delayed less frequently.
All of these changes mean there is a lot of information to be communicated to passengers – reasons for the project, where to find your nearest bus stop, how to navigate the bus system, travel timetables and more! This is where graphic design and signage experts stepped up and took the baton.
